Relics of Ulduar – Best Locations to Farm These WoW Relics

Gold farming inside World of Warcraft is something every player is trying to do. The problem with most gamers is they spend too much wasted time in low drop locations and as a result make less gold per hour then they otherwise could.

One of the more popular items to farm right now is the relics of Ulduar. These items can be handed in for reputation rewards with the Sons of Hodir. Why these items are popular is because many of the best vendor only enchants in the game come from being exalted with this faction.

Due to this popularity not only are many players trying to gain this faction reward but also these relics are selling for huge gold on the auction house. So I decided to write this article to help people out in understanding the best locations to farm for this valuable WoW item.

Best Locations to Farm Relics of Ulduar

While there are many locations you can farm these relics from I will only include what I have found to be the top three locations along with tips and techniques for each spot.

1. Snowdrift Plains (North Western Corner of Storm Peaks). This is my favorite location to farm these relics from because of their amazing high drop rate. The problem with this location is that all the gold farmers know this as well, but there is a workaround to this problem. Most people try to farm these from the quarry pit but on the other side of the snowdrift is another location that sees very little traffic. So your best bet is if you see two or three people in the quarry just head on over to the other side and enjoy all the drops for yourself.

2. Vrykul Mines (Inside the Brunnhildar Village). This is another one of my favorite locations for farming relics of Ulduar. The miners inside the village have a high re-spawn rate as well as a high drop rate for these relics. The main problem here is that the location also is home to a daily quest and so can become crowded with competition. It’s not a big drawback however as the daily quest is fast and easy and you’ll soon be the only one left still farming in here.

3. Fjorn’s Anvil (77,63). Just west of the Dun Niffelem and beyond the frozen lake is where you’ll find Fjorn’s Anvil. This is my favorite location for farming relics of Ulduar. All you need to do here is to kill the seething revenants, over and over again. Why is this spot so great? Simple not only do these creatures have an insane re-spawn rate but they also drop greens, gold and of course the relics. On a good run you can pick up easily at least 100 relics an hour here.

The main problem with this location is high traffic. Not only are there other players completing daily quests here but this is also prime ganking grounds. So the solution is simple, if you see heavy traffic around here, then go check out the other locations mentioned above and return here later when things cool off.

Northrend Gold Farming Spots – The Best 5 World of Warcraft Locations in WotLK to Farm Gold

Not many players like to share their best Northrend gold farming spots because, let’s face it, no one likes to share a spot with other players. There are so many places to farm gold in WotLK that most players don’t even know about. Therefore, to help everyone a little bit, I’m going to share here in a few words, my favorite Northrend gold farming spots.

1. Cauldron of Flames. This spot is located in southeastern Wintergrasp. It’s a zone with fire elemental mobs that drop Crystallized Fire, items that you can combine to make Eternal Fire. Also, there are a few Cinder Clouds in this area and if you’re an engineer you can extract more Crystallized Fire from these clouds. Although the respawn rate of the fire elementals is a bit low, this is one of the best places to farm Crystallized Fire in Northrend.

2. Gimorak’s Den. You can find this cave in the middle area of Storm Peaks. There are plenty of wolves and Jormungar worms inside the cave. They drop meats used in cooking and they also can be skinned for Borean Leather and Jormungar Scales. Of course, the scales drop from the worms only. If you’re a skinner, you will occasionally find Arctic Fur when skinning these beasts.

3. Onslaught Harbor. This is one of the Northrend gold farming spots that I prefer because I’m a tailor. There are many humanoid mobs here that drop Frostweave Cloth and since I have the passive skill Northern Cloth Scavenging, i can get a lot more cloth scraps than other players. However, if you choose this spot as your farming destination, you’d better keep an eye out because this is a daily quest zone and you can get attacked by an enemy player that comes for here to complete those quests.

4. Valkyrion. This spot is in western Storm Peaks. The Nascent Val’kyrs at these camp have 100% chances to drop Dissolved Soul Essence. These are grey items which you just may neglect and destroy, but they have a very high vendor value. Each essence costs 65s and since every Val’kyr drops one, you can make a lot of gold just by selling these junk items to a vendor.

5. The Lake at Blue Sky Logging Grounds. This is one of the best Northrend gold farming spots for fishing. This lake is in northern Grizzly Hills and is quite rich in Glacial Salmon, a type of fish needed by cooks for the Fish Feast raiding food. Sometimes, you can sell these fish for up to 60-70g per stack. I also got the super cool Sea Turtle mount by fishing in one of the Glacial Salmon Schools here.

I hope that you will make some money at these Northrend gold farming spots I have described in this article. However, these are just 5 of the best spots in Northrend, so if you would like to learn about many others, I strongly recommend the WoW gold guide I’ve been using.

WotLK Gold Farming Areas & Locations – Where Are the Best Spots?

Since the newest World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, was released the need to farm for gold quickly is more essential than ever. The price of anything and everything, from gear, to mats, to mounts, has gone up in Northrend. The pricing players become accustomed to from the core game and Burning Crusade expansion is left behind at the borders of this chilly waste land. If you do not want to be the laughing stock of your guild you have to know where to farm for gold in Wrath of the Lich King.

A good spot to get started with gold farming in Wrath of the Lich King is the Howling Fjord. Daily quests can be a great source of gold if you have already reached the maximum level for the quest. The Howling Fjord has quests geared towards levels 70-72, so it is pretty low level for Northrend. This means that fairly early on you should be able to maximize the gold rewards for daily quests. Daily questing in this area can easily generate 200-300 gold an hour. It is certainly a lot easier than going back to Outland to try and farm for gold.

Venomspire in Dragonsblight is another excellent place to farm for gold in WotLK. Stomping hordes of humanoid mobs can be a great way to farm for gold because not only do the mobs drop gold, they also drop vendor trash and the occasional item good enough for the auction house. Well, this region has a coast line of camps that spawn humanoid mobs, and by the time you make it to the burning ship that marks the end, the first camp should be about ready to re spawn again. You can just rinse and repeat this as long as you want.
